Hair Amiss !!

Its been 4 months since i had a hair cut !. Surprised !! , Astounded !! Doesn't seem like me isn't it( For those who know me :) ) .Hey , now dont you start getting ideas ... I have the strictest rules as regards to personal hygiene, and that includes hair.
But i must be looking outrageous right ?. Yeah i am, No doubt. My pals who have to bear my presence(sick !) everyday will be glad to give a testimony. But i am sure they dont mind having me around with them at places of social importance( for example the cafeteria at lunch time., or the general coffee break area). Yeah right! . You see i have a legitimate reason to think so too. You wanna know why..? See , people ought to look at me.. , gape at me ,yes obviously , i look horrendous with a bush/birds nest on my head. ( maybe the bird is of jurassic era, probably Archeopteryx). And the day i have'nt shaved, i look prehistoric too. Sounds melodramatic doesn't it:' A stone age man walking into a modern SEI-CMM level 5 MNC for the days work(hunt or be hunted !)'. Anthropology and paleontology apart. So if everyone is gaping at me, obviously guys around me (even if they are dud heads) appear soooooo decent and approachabe. Eh. Eh.. Good for you guys .. and this is what i have been trying to hammer into their thick heads.
The thing is , i do everything possible to not appear this ridiculous. I have a head bath religiously everyday . Comb my hair(semi wet) and see to it that it is pressed down (a.k.a Babu Moshai ishtyle ).Some times blow dry it . Apply lots of gel and comb it to immaculate neatness and symmetry. "Damn , i look good ! " says I before i start off for office. 45 Min later as I dismount the bike and check myself out "Yikes !!! Wats this???" The Hair on the scalp is disarrayed ,albeit pressed down by the helmet. But the portion at he back of the scalp and the upper neck is all flying . A one third lion's mane !(Typical 'mahabharat' ka character ka hair ishtyle ) .
Well well well, no doubt i always liked 'Gone with the Wind' :)) .I check the bike handle ,still conscious of the thousands of antennae at the back of my head. The left hand tries to smooothen and coax the matted hair . Alas ! in vain. The hands caress the hair a thousand times
like an automaton by the time i reach my office block entrance. The Security guard these days does not ask me for my ID as by now he remembers me( courtesy my hair) . I walk down the well lit corridors . A silent prayer at the back of my mind hoping there is no one else walking in it. !#$#@$#$ Heck ! There are... and they are walking in the opposite direction to mine. And i hope they dont raise their heads and give a momentary stare at my hair. Which inevitably everyone does , and receive the coldest bone shilling stare("What the hell are you lookin at..!!!??") ever given by someone. They hang their heads in embarassment and walk on. Stronger ones just glance and smile inwardly(Hmph!... what a joker ). I hurriedly walk to the washroom , wash the road dust and grime off my face , look at my hair and grin. Why..?? coz I AM PROUD of my hair. Its copiuous , lustrous and plentiful. I dont give a penny's worth of thought to what others think about it. I wet my hair a little .. press it down and walk into my bay head high . Gingerly sit down at my desk in front of my workstation , and transport myself into a prehistoric world !!!. I am just prehistoric in the way i look , but hey.. I take orders or people who run things around here are maybe the 'pre- homo sapiens ' species. All idiots including me..!! trying to work things the way they have been planned for everyone and its all Neolithic !!!. Ha so far so good , no comments on my hair. And by the time i get up for the coffee breaks and lunch break , the hair is all amiss again. Flying .. and twisting and turning and falling and standing . Heck ! its got a mind of its own! . And so have I . As long as they both dont have a conflict.. ,I AM FINE..
